Jennifer Lopez's frequent use of animal fur in her clothing lines and personal wardrobe has brought the scorn of people concerned with animal rights. At the Los Angeles premiere of Monster-in-Law, more than one hundred protesters from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) held a demonstration to highlight their concerns.

Katie Jordan Price also made a cameo appearance playing herself in an episode of the television drama series Footballers' Wives and appeared in the programme Jordan Gets Even for Five.
Jennifer Love Hewitt made her film debut in the independent film Munchie (1992). Her first song, "Pieces of Me," was performed without problems. However, when Ashlee Simpson began her second song, "Autobiography," the vocals for the song "Pieces of Me" were heard again—before she had even raised the microphone to her mouth. Ashlee Simpson began to do an impromptu jig when she realized the embarrassing error, but then left the stage. During the closing of the show Ashlee Simpson appeared with the guest host Jude Law and said, "I'm so sorry. My band started playing the wrong song, and I didn't know what to do, so I thought I'd do a hoedown."
